[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Trading of Hurim Networks has resumed.
Hurim Networks announced on the 20th that it secured operating funds during the process of Hurim Robot acquiring management rights, raising the necessary capital to advance its business. Hurim Networks plans to expand its business to support the domestic and international expansion of 5G communication networks.
With the spread of 5G networks, the cost of installing base stations has increased, while the shorter transmission distance of communication signals has led to higher network construction costs. Hurim Networks plans to increase 5G adoption by developing low-cost 5G antennas.
The company expects that since the domestic 5G network coverage level does not meet the demands of communication service users, Hurim Networks will be able to continuously expand its antenna business.
Hurim Networks has signed supply contracts not only with domestic telecom companies but also with major overseas telecom companies including AT&T. This is expected to be advantageous for expanding into overseas markets.
Kim Sang-gi, CEO leading Hurim Networks' antenna business, said, "Like Apple Pay, the types and amounts of data individuals exchange using communication networks are becoming increasingly vast," adding, "Hurim Networks will become a company that connects people and technology based on communication technology."
