Huawei 5G Core, World's No.1 for 4 Consecutive Years

[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] Huawei has been selected as the leader in global 5G core solutions and use cases for four consecutive years.

According to Huawei on the 14th, the global market research firm GlobalData recently awarded the highest score to Huawei's 5G core portfolio in its report titled '5G Mobile Core: Competitive Environment Assessment.'

The report noted that as global core networks become cloudified and transition to 5G-based systems, how 5G core network solutions operate in live networks has become crucial in assessing their readiness for commercialization.

At the same time, the prolonged coexistence of 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G Non-Standalone (NSA), and 5G Standalone (SA) networks has increased the importance of core networks. Equipment vendors must provide 5G core network solutions that leverage converged core network architectures to facilitate smooth network evolution to 5G SA and address coexistence issues of multiple Radio Access Technologies (RATs) such as O&M.

The report also considered equipment vendors' technological innovations and commercialization progress in autonomous driving networks and voice services as key evaluation criteria.

Huawei explained that it received high scores in architecture resilience, solution maturity, network evolution, and network automation.

Huawei stated, "We will continue to support global mobile operators in advancing 5G to C and 5G to B services and achieving business success through ongoing development and commercialization of 5G core solutions."
