[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) announced on the 8th that singers Kim Heung-guk and Park Sang-min have been appointed as 'Mapo-gu Ambassadors.'

Known as the representative mustache duo in the entertainment industry, the two are beloved by the public as national singers with numerous hit songs, candid wit, and consistent charitable activities.

Singer Kim Heung-guk, famous for hits like "Horangnabi" and "59nyeon Wangsimni," has been active as a versatile entertainer on broadcasts for many years with his witty catchphrase "Deuridae~."

He said, "Mapo has many broadcasting stations and the World Cup Stadium, so it holds many personal memories for me," adding, "As an ambassador, I will make sure to attend various events held in Mapo-gu more often."

Also familiar for his distinctive mustache and sunglasses, singer Park Sang-min has numerous hit songs such as "Haebaragi" and "Hana-ui Sarang," and is known as a leading donation angel in the entertainment industry, having donated a cumulative amount of 4 billion won.

He expressed, "I consider it an honor for my family to become a Mapo-gu ambassador," and stated, "I will do my best to actively promote every corner of Mapo in the future."

The ambassador appointment ceremony was held on the afternoon of the 8th in the Mapo-gu Office main conference room. After receiving the appointment plaques, the two will lead efforts to promote Mapo by participating in the production of promotional videos and various festivals and events for the next two years.
