Support for Professional Psychological Counseling Services for Youth Aged 19 to 34 Years
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 8th that it is recruiting participants for the Youth Mental Health Support Project, which provides professional psychological counseling services to young people experiencing psychological difficulties such as depression and employment challenges.
The support target is any youth aged 19 to 34 residing in Damyang-gun, regardless of income criteria. Priority is given to youth preparing for independence, extended protection children, and those referred or connected to mental health welfare centers.
Selected participants can receive customized professional psychological counseling services (1:1 principle) a total of 10 times over 3 months, including pre- and post-assessments and counseling.
The project offers two types: Type A (60,000 KRW per service, 6,000 KRW co-payment) and Type B (70,000 KRW per service, 7,000 KRW co-payment), which participants can choose according to their preference. Youth preparing for independence are exempt from the usage fee.
Youth wishing to use the service can apply by visiting their local town or township office with identification and required documents or apply online through Bokjiro.
A county official stated, “We will do our best to support services so that local youth can overcome difficult situations through psychological problem prevention and fulfill their roles as healthy members of society.”
