Dongdaemun-gu Mayor Ilhyung Lee Personally Oversees Promises Made to Residents

Dongdaemun-gu Holds Review Meeting on July 7 for the 8th Term Elected Mayor's Pledge Implementation Plan, Aiming to Outline a Future Blueprint for a Better Living Dongdaemun-gu

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Ilhyung Lee) held the "8th Term Mayor's Pledge Implementation Plan Report Meeting" on the 7th at the district office's Planning Situation Room, chaired by the mayor and attended by heads of departments and pledge implementation teams.

At this meeting, Mayor Ilhyung Lee of the 8th term discussed the project overview, implementation direction, issues and countermeasures, and future plans for each department's pledge items to faithfully fulfill the promises made to the residents. In particular, it was an opportunity to share interdepartmental collaboration matters and detailed project plans to enhance residents' perception of the pledge projects, increase feasibility, and concretize them, as well as to conduct a thorough review for establishing strategic annual detailed implementation plans.

The four major goals of the 8th term Dongdaemun-gu pledges are ▲ a city with a pleasant environment ▲ a safe place to live ▲ transparent district administration opened through communication ▲ a new future city of Seoul. Based on these, the district plans to implement strategies for 60 core tasks across four sectors.

All pledges are planned to be completed within the term, with annual roadmaps created, regular progress managed, and issues addressed through pledge implementation evaluations to build consensus with residents.

During the pledge implementation, expert consultations from various fields will be conducted to refine the implementation plans, and in November, opinions from residents will be gathered through the operation of a "Resident Jury Panel" composed of local residents. The implementation plans will be adjusted and refined from the residents' perspective, and the "Final Pledge Implementation Plan" will be published on the district office website in December, expanding and managing the 8th term pledge projects.
