[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is implementing a 'Chuseok Holiday Comprehensive Plan,' including operating a comprehensive situation room, to ensure that residents can have a comfortable and safe holiday.

The county will operate 8 departments, 9 situation teams, and town and township civil complaint situation teams for four days from the 9th to the 12th to minimize inconvenience to residents.

The comprehensive plan is divided into 12 detailed focus areas, including ▲ COVID-19 and various disaster, incident, and accident prevention measures ▲ vehicle traffic and safety measures ▲ livelihood economy and stability of ordinary citizens' lives ▲ resolution of residents' inconveniences ▲ strict establishment of public service work discipline.

In particular, during the Chuseok holiday period, the county plans to monitor 20 key management items continuously to support the livelihood economy, which has been affected by the aftermath of COVID-19.

Additionally, the county will organize and operate emergency medical support on-site along with eliminating medical service gaps during the holiday and emergency quarantine. Emergency medical institutions and holiday duty pharmacies will be designated and operated, and joint hygiene inspections of food manufacturing and sales businesses during the Chuseok peak season will be conducted.

A county official said, “For high-risk groups aged 60 and over, we strongly ask for participation in the 4th vaccination to prevent severe illness and death,” adding, “The county will do its best to ensure a safe holiday.”
