[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Samsung Display is conducting a recruitment roadshow by touring universities with next-generation foldable products loaded on a truck to select differentiated talents.

According to Samsung Display on the 7th, the company is holding a 'Display Day' event consisting of product exhibitions, vision lectures, and recruitment consultations at eight universities nationwide, including Kyung Hee University, Korea University, Seoul National University, Sungkyunkwan University, and KAIST, starting from Kyung Hee University on the 1st of this month.

For this event, which runs until the 14th, Samsung Display has converted a 5-ton truck into a showcase stage on wheels, exhibiting QD-OLED (Quantum Dot Organic Light Emitting Diode) as well as next-generation multi-foldable products such as Flex S, Flex G, and Flex Gaming.

Additionally, development executives personally visit schools to introduce future technologies requiring active research and development, such as foldable OLED and micro displays, and deliver vision lectures on the growth potential of the display industry.

In particular, the company reported that many students showed great interest by visiting the exhibition truck from early morning at the event held at Seoul National University’s Gwanak Campus.

Samsung Display is also conducting corporate briefings and recruitment consultations at 25 universities nationwide, including 'Display Day,' ahead of the second half new employee recruitment.

A Samsung Display official said, "The reason our company has maintained a unique competitiveness in the OLED market and was able to preoccupy future technologies was because of talented people," adding, "As competition between countries and companies in advanced technology fields like displays intensifies, we will not spare investment in securing talent."
