Muan-gun, Unnam-myeon Welfare Center Bathhouse Reopens

Shedding Old Layers and Resuming Operations After Over Two Years

Muan-gun, Unnam-myeon Welfare Center Bathhouse Reopens

[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Unnam-myeon, Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do reopened the welfare center bathhouse, which had been closed to prevent COVID-19, on the 5th.

The welfare center bathhouse, classified as a multi-use facility under the government's COVID-19 prevention guidelines, had been closed for nearly two years. However, it was decided to reopen recently to alleviate residents' inconvenience following the lifting of social distancing measures and the prolonged COVID-19 situation.

Before reopening, Unnam-myeon inspected and thoroughly cleaned the facilities to ensure residents could use the bathhouse safely and comfortably. Old equipment and items such as shower hoses and bath towels were also replaced with new ones.

Kim Na-yeon, head of Unnam-myeon, stated, "We expect the reopening of the bathhouse to greatly contribute to the welfare improvement of Unnam-myeon residents," adding, "We will do our best to provide a clean bathing environment and hygienic services to the elderly and residents tired from the busy farming season."

Meanwhile, the Unnam-myeon welfare center bathhouse was created to promote residents' healthy lives and welfare. It covers an area of 198㎡ and is equipped with a bathhouse, a maekbanseok sauna, and changing rooms. It operates six days a week, excluding Tuesdays, from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m.
