President Jang Je-guk Awarded Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration by President Inga Zalieneniene
On the 5th, Jang Je-guk, President of Dongseo University, awarded an honorary Doctorate in Business Administration to Inga Zalieniene, President of the Lithuanian National Mykolas Romeris University, at the Sohyang Concert Hall of the Dongseo University Cultural Center.

Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) Graduate School announced on the 5th that it held a degree conferment ceremony for Inga Zaliene, president of Lithuania's national Mykolas Romeris University, at the Sohyang Concert Hall in the Dongseo University Culture Center.
Dongseo University introduced that President Inga Zaliene provided high-quality education and research opportunities for the advancement of education in Lithuania and the European Union.
It also explained the background of awarding the honorary Doctorate in Business Administration by highly evaluating her contributions and achievements in consistently nurturing future leaders who can maximize the intellectual potential of young people to create and implement innovation.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Dongseo University is strengthening international cooperation to realize a global university and has been operating dual degree programs with Mykolas Romeris University at both undergraduate and graduate levels for the past decade.
The dual degree program with Mykolas Romeris University is actively operated in the digital content field, which Dongseo University is specializing in.
Despite the pandemic situation that made international exchange difficult, many dual degree graduates have been produced annually, and various collaborations such as exchange professors and joint research have been carried out.
President Inga Zaliene received a Doctorate in Law from Mykolas Romeris University and served as Vice President for Research and International Cooperation and Vice President for Education and Research at the university before assuming the presidency in 2019.
Currently, President Inga Zaliene is a member of the European Women Rectors Association and serves as a committee member in various international organizations, including the International Association of Universities, a UNESCO cooperating agency.
Dongseo University President Jang Je-guk said, “We are very pleased to award the honorary Doctorate in Business Administration to President Zaliene Inga, who has made significant contributions to nurturing global talents, and we look forward to more active exchanges and cooperation with Dongseo University in the future.”
President Jang added, “Furthermore, the two universities will work together to lead cooperation and development for joint education between Korea and Lithuania.”
