Officials from Dongseo University and related organizations are taking a group commemorative photo after the opening ceremony of the Center for Sustainable Development (DSU-SDGs Center).
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dongseo University held an opening ceremony for the Sustainable Development Center (DSU-SDGs Center) on the 2nd floor hall of the New Millennium Building on the 5th.
The DSU-SDGs Center was established to collaborate with all members in practice, including solving social issues and changing operational methods.
It also aims to participate in the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) global activities, induce collective impact from all members, and practice the founding philosophy of service for humanity.
The SDGs Center will carry out activities such as ▲ revitalizing flea markets based on sustainable design ▲ publishing the DSU-SDGs Annual Report and engaging in international joint research networks ▲ developing and spreading international volunteer programs including educational support for vulnerable residents and MOOC development ▲ establishing the secretariat for the SDGs International Design Competition.
Jang Je-guk, President of Dongseo University, said, “We intend to build a new global platform linked to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the UN in the university’s roles of education, research, and service.”
