[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Department of Architecture at Hannam University has been selected for the 'Architectural Talent Development Project' by the Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.


According to the university on the 5th, the agency recently conducted a public competition targeting architecture departments nationwide that have received the 5-year architectural accreditation from the Architectural Accreditation Board among government-funded universities. Through the first document screening and the second interview evaluation, 10 universities were selected to participate in the project.


The Department of Architecture at Hannam University was selected as an architectural exchange activity institution and will receive 80 million KRW in national funding for one year. Through this project, architecture students will participate in activities such as visiting local universities in Germany, workshops, and architectural field trips, with the expenses covered by the project budget.


Previously, in 2020, the university's Department of Architecture conducted an international architectural workshop in collaboration with the Korea-Germany Architectural Exchange Association (KDAA) through support from the 'Architectural Talent Development Project.'


The Architectural Talent Development Project is a government-funded initiative established to enhance national competitiveness in architectural design and to cultivate outstanding human resources.
