[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Members of the People Power Party's Emergency Response Committee all resigned on the 5th. This is because the People Power Party is revising its party constitution and regulations to launch a new Emergency Response Committee.

The People Power Party's Emergency Response Committee held a meeting at the National Assembly on the morning of the same day, where all members expressed their intention to resign and submitted their resignation letters, according to Chief Spokesperson Park Jeong-ha. Spokesperson Park stated, "Although members Jeon Ju-hye and Lee So-hee could not attend in person, they conveyed their intentions verbally."

This Emergency Response Committee, chaired by Representative Joo Ho-young, was launched on the 16th of last month, but the court accepted former leader Lee Jun-seok's injunction to suspend the committee's launch, resulting in the suspension of Chairman Joo's duties.

The People Power Party is working to revise the party constitution and regulations to launch a new Emergency Response Committee without legal flaws.

Spokesperson Park said, "Floor leader Kwon Seong-dong, who is acting party leader, has decided to transition the current situation into an Emergency Response Committee system."
