[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, has entered a strong emergency response system to minimize typhoon damage in response to the northward approach of Typhoon No. 11 Hinnamnor.
On the 5th, County Governor Shim Min held an expanded executive meeting attended by heads of departments and divisions at the main office and 12 town and township chiefs across the county, stating, “We will do our utmost to prevent human and material damage caused by the typhoon, and all employees will respond with an urgent mindset for the safety of the residents,” and ordered, “In case of damage, promptly assess the situation and proceed with recovery.”
On the 1st, an emergency situation inspection meeting was held to check preparedness as the typhoon was expected to have direct and indirect effects on the entire Imsil-gun area.
Through the inspection meeting, they launched an emergency response system in preparation for the approaching typhoon ‘Hinnamnor’ and took comprehensive measures to prevent typhoon damage.
The county operates a Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters situation room and organized 13 teams in areas such as disaster situation management and emergency livelihood support to prepare for the typhoon.
They also prepared measures for managing major facilities, stabilizing livelihoods, promoting resident action guidelines, and securing emergency recovery equipment.
In addition, they are preparing for this typhoon through an organic cooperation system between private organizations and related agencies.
The county is closely monitoring the typhoon’s path and decided to focus all administrative power on minimizing damage through proactive situation management system operation.
They plan to mobilize all administrative resources to make every effort to prevent human casualties.
The county is thoroughly preparing to prevent safety accidents in advance through strict pre-inspections of wind-vulnerable facilities such as horticulture, fallen fruit, and livestock, as well as landslide-prone areas, steep slopes, lowland flooding, wall and retaining wall collapses, and securing building advertisements.
Governor Shim Min said, “With the strong typhoon news coming before the Chuseok holiday, residents’ concerns must be very high,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure safety measures to protect the precious lives and property of all residents.”
