Operation Status of Yeongsan Pumping Station and Focus on Areas Vulnerable to Strong Winds
Kim Bu-young, the governor of Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam, is instructing related officials to conduct on-site inspections focusing on disaster-prone areas.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Wook] Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam, on the 5th, conducted a final inspection of disaster-prone areas in preparation for the northward approach of Typhoon Hinnamnor No. 11 and is thoroughly preparing to prevent expected damage.
Changnyeong-gun, led by County Governor Kim Bu-young and related officials, inspected facilities in the greenhouse vegetable complexes vulnerable to strong winds in Machon-ri, Gilgok-myeon, and Wolryeong-ri, Yeongsan-myeon. They then visited the Yeongsan Drainage Pump Station managed by the Korea Rural Community Corporation Changnyeong branch to check its operational status.
Governor Kim said, “This typhoon is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rain. We ask residents to refrain from going out and to thoroughly prepare by securing facilities such as vinyl greenhouses and livestock barns.” He added, “The county will also respond with full force, prioritizing the safety of residents.”
Before the field inspection, the county held a situation assessment meeting in the county government’s administrative conference room with senior officials attending to discuss evacuation plans for residents in vulnerable areas and facility safety management measures.
