Changwon Special City, Beautify Signs! Beautify the City!

Opening of Changwon City Beautiful Signboard Contest and Exhibition Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the opening ceremony and awards ceremony for the "13th Changwon City Beautiful Signboard Contest and Exhibition."

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] On the 2nd, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the opening ceremony and awards ceremony for the "13th Changwon City Beautiful Signboard Contest and Exhibition" at Exhibition Hall 1 of Seongsan Art Hall to improve the quality of outdoor advertising and promote a desirable advertising culture.


The event, hosted by the Gyeongsangnam-do Outdoor Advertising Association Changwon Branch, was attended by about 130 people including Kim I-geun, chairman of the Changwon Special City Council, city council members, city officials, Yoo Chi-yeop, president of the Gyeongsangnam-do Outdoor Advertising Association, heads of branches from various cities and counties, and contest winners.


The Beautiful Signboard Contest received 56 entries in the categories of Creative Model Advertising, Creative Design Advertising, and Existing Advertising during the submission period from June 2 to August 19.


The grand prize in the Creative Model Advertising category was awarded to Kim Seong-wook of Signboard and People for the ceramic gallery "Morandang," and the grand prize in the Creative Design Advertising category was awarded to Chae Min-jeong, a student in the Department of Design at Gyeongnam National University, for Changwon City's package-free store "Courage to Protect the Earth" for the environment.


The exhibition held a pre-exhibition from August 31 to September 1 and the main exhibition from the 2nd to the 5th at Exhibition Hall 1 of Seongsan Art Hall.


Hong Nam-pyo, mayor of Changwon Special City, said, "Through the contest and exhibition, we will raise the level of the city's outdoor advertising culture and seek ways to expand the contest works to the field."
