[Asia Economy Reporter Noh Kyung-jo] HanmiGlobal announced on the 1st that Vice Chairman Han Chan-geon and Manar Almoneef, Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of the NEOM City project in Saudi Arabia, met on the 31st of last month to discuss mutual cooperation plans. This meeting was arranged during Manar Almoneef CIO's visit to Korea.

The day before the meeting, Vice Chairman Han attended the '2022 Global Infrastructure Cooperation Conference (GICC)' hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul, where he received a briefing on the NEOM City project and discussed public-private cooperation plans.

HanmiGlobal, Korea's top construction project management (PM) company, won the special overall program management (e-PMO) contract last year for the 'NEOM The Line' project, part of the NEOM City project. This project involves developing a new city with a population of 1 million within a 170 km belt zone.

In June this year, HanmiGlobal secured a PM contract worth 15.5 billion KRW for a residential complex development commissioned by Roshn, a Saudi state-owned real estate developer. Following that, in July, it won a 44 billion KRW residential complex PM project commissioned by the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Vice Chairman Han Chan-geon stated, "HanmiGlobal will do its best to fulfill its role in forming Team Korea with our government and companies to enter Saudi Arabia's large-scale construction projects."
