Traditional Liquor Stories from Gyeongbuk Region with Chef Park Chan-il
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Andong City, Gyeongbuk, and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Korean Traditional Culture will hold the Smile Trip 200 Project - 2nd Tourism Forum with the theme of "Traditional Liquor" on September 3rd from 5 PM at the Gaemoknaru Stage in the Andong Dam Outdoor Folk Village to expand the foundation for discovering tourism resources and to enhance related infrastructure.
This talk concert, conducted as part of the Tourism Hub City Development Project, is linked with the "2022 Gyeongbuk Alcohol Culture Festival" held from September 2nd to 3rd.
Various traditional liquor experience booths and events are prepared to delight visitors' eyes and palates, and the talk concert will be held alongside a traditional liquor demonstration by culinary researcher Chef Park Chan-il.
The talk concert offers an opportunity for 30 pre-registered participants interested in culinary research and traditional liquor to experience cocktails based on actual traditional liquors and paired side dishes, allowing them to fully enjoy the charm of traditional liquor.
Along with explanations about traditional liquors from Andong and Gyeongbuk used in the demonstration, the event aims to enhance understanding of traditional liquor and provide a free communication time with attendees regarding the direction of traditional liquor and its commercialization as a tourism product.
An Andong city official said, "We hope this event will serve as an opportunity to broaden the base for discovering various experiential contents utilizing traditional liquor."
