CJ ENM Heading to the World, Establishes 'Global Growth Strategy Officer' Position

Recruitment of Jung Woo-sung, Former Fox Corporation Executive, as Business Leader
Overseeing US-Centered Global Strategy

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] CJ ENM's Entertainment Division announced on the 1st that it has established the position of Chief Global Growth Officer (CGO) to accelerate its global business and has recruited management leader Jung Woo-sung (Steve Jung).

Management leader Jung Woo-sung is expected to oversee CJ ENM's global strategy, focusing on the U.S. business. CJ ENM acquired Endeavor Content, the largest entertainment company in the U.S., in January this year and is accelerating its global business by strengthening strategic alliances with major studios and platform companies.

Jung Woo-sung began his career at Goldman Sachs and worked as a venture capitalist and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at media companies in Silicon Valley and Beijing. He has experience as the founder and CEO of Frankly Media, a media tech company listed in San Francisco, and recently served as CGO at Fox Corporation. Fox Corporation, owned by the Murdoch family, is the parent company of Fox News.

A CJ ENM official said, “As CJ ENM expands its global business to leap forward as a global total entertainment company, the addition of management leader Jung Woo-sung, who led corporate growth in Hollywood and Silicon Valley, is expected to be a great help.”
