AI-Based Personalized Training and Exercise Program Support
[Jindo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, has been selected for the Public Procurement Service's innovative product pilot project and will officially operate the ‘Immersive Virtual Reality Dementia Care Platform’.
The Jindo-gun Dementia Safety Center applied for the Public Procurement Service's pilot usage institution contest for the innovative product in the bio-health sector, ‘Immersive Virtual Reality Dementia Care Service Platform,’ and two locations, Jindo-gun Dementia Safety Center and Jindo Senior Welfare Center, were selected.
The county completed the establishment of equipment, facilities, and systems and began operation at the end of this month. Through the operation of the ‘Immersive Virtual Reality Dementia Care Service Platform,’ it supports personalized training from treatment to prevention, laying the foundation for creating a dementia-free Jindo-gun.
By operating the virtual experience platform dementia prevention room, it runs a senior integrated health management platform that stores health information such as VR dementia prevention training, cognitive and physical rehabilitation, InBody, and blood pressure tests in a database and supports AI-based personalized training.
In particular, based on the training information received from the dementia prevention platform, collaboration support among seniors, caregivers, and medical staff, continuous management and prevention enable organic and continuous management anywhere nationwide, expecting to reduce economic burdens such as dementia prevention and health promotion and improve the quality of life of residents.
Also, using rehabilitation content developed based on algorithms for cognitive function and physical fitness improvement, cognitive function evaluation and training/exercise programs are implemented to enhance dementia prevention and health promotion.
The county is the only one nationwide selected as a pilot usage institution for both locations, including the Jindo-gun Dementia Safety Center, in the Public Procurement Service's innovative product ‘bio-health sector,’ contributing to a total financial saving of 600 million KRW.
A Jindo-gun Public Health Center official said, “We will faithfully perform the role of digital therapeutic functions that help improve dementia prevention and health promotion so that seniors can enjoy a healthy old age and a happy life.”
