Preparing Improvement Plans through Discussions on Resident Autonomy Committee Operations
Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam held the 4th Mobile Local Autonomy Small Forum in 2022 to promote the activation of decentralized local governance.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] On the 30th at 2 PM, Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam held the 4th 2022 Visiting Local Autonomy Small Forum at the Goseong-gun Comprehensive Social Welfare Center annex to promote the activation of local autonomy.
The event was co-hosted with Gyeongsangnam-do, and about 40 people attended, including members of the Provincial Local Autonomy Council, Provincial Residents' Autonomy Association, County Residents' Autonomy (Committee) Association, and officials in charge of local autonomy.
The forum was chaired by Jeong Won-sik, a member of the Gyeongsangnam-do Local Autonomy Council, and included a discussion session with Ahn Kwon-wook, a member of the Gyeongsangnam-do Local Autonomy Council, and Lim Byung-mu, vice chairman of the Gyeongsangnam-do Residents' Autonomy Association, along with the chairman and secretary of the Goseong-gun Residents' Autonomy (Committee) Association.
Participants listened to the 2022 status and project explanations of Goseong-gun residents' autonomy, then discussed operational issues of the Goseong-gun Residents' Autonomy (Committee) Association and deliberated on improvement measures for these issues.
Jo Seok-rae, the County Government Innovation Officer, said, "I hope this forum was a beneficial discussion that enhanced understanding of local decentralization overall and further spread residents' consensus."
Previously, the 2022 Visiting Local Autonomy Forums were held in Miryang City for the 1st session, Changnyeong-gun for the 2nd, and Haman-gun for the 3rd.
