Inha University will select 2,631 students (67.9%) out of a total of 3,873 for the 2023 academic year early admission.
The major change in this year's early admission is the abolition of the self-introduction letter in the comprehensive student record screening and the expansion of the interview candidates from three times to 3.5 times the number of applicants.
The Comprehensive Student Record Inha Future Talent Screening selects 905 students and is a multi-stage screening with an interview. In the first stage, 100% comprehensive document evaluation is conducted, and in the second stage, 70% of the first stage document evaluation results and 30% interview evaluation are reflected. The Comprehensive Student Record Inha True Talent Screening selects 298 students and evaluates 100% based on documents. The Inha Future Talent Screening reflects career exploration competency at the highest rate of 45%, while the Inha True Talent Screening reflects basic academic competency at the highest rate of 45%.
The regional balance screening, Student Record Curriculum Screening, selects students based on 100% curriculum and applies minimum CSAT (College Scholastic Ability Test) standards. It operates as a school principal recommendation screening, and the restriction on the number of recommendations per high school has been abolished, allowing all students recommended by the principal to apply. From this year, career elective subjects are reflected by converting achievement levels into grades and considering the top three subjects.
The essay screening method combines 70% essay and 30% curriculum scores. This year, 469 students will be selected. The difficulty of the natural sciences mathematics essay questions will be slightly lowered compared to previous years.
In the regular admission, a new Department of Liberal Studies will be established, recruiting 70 students. Unlike other universities' liberal studies departments, it has introduced a groundbreaking academic system that fully guarantees the right to choose a major upon entering the second year (excluding the College of Medicine and College of Education).
Inha University has secured 180 billion KRW in research funds through government-supported projects such as selection as a Ministry of Education general financial support university, SW-centered university, AI Convergence Innovation Graduate School, Future Space Education Center, Ministry Collaboration Talent Development Project, and LINC 3.0 Project, promoting the cultivation of future talents and advancement of research.
