Imsil-gun Implements 'Chuseok Holiday Comprehensive Measures' to Minimize Inconvenience for Residents

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, is implementing a comprehensive livelihood stabilization plan to resolve daily civil complaints and prevent the spread of COVID-19 ahead of Chuseok, the traditional Korean holiday.

The county announced on the 30th that it will prepare and operate a comprehensive plan for four days from the 9th to the 12th of next month, during the Chuseok holiday period.

Eight sectors will be activated centered on the comprehensive situation room: disaster and accident response team, price control situation team, living environment improvement team, water and sewage countermeasures team, traffic countermeasures team, medical quarantine countermeasures team, livestock and COVID-19 quarantine situation room.

By promptly resolving all daily civil complaints occurring during the holiday period, thorough preparations are being made so that all residents can spend a safe and comfortable holiday with their families.

In particular, the COVID-19 Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters and quarantine countermeasures team will operate to prevent the re-spread of COVID-19, maintaining an emergency work system so that the quarantine system, including screening clinics and infectious disease situation monitoring, can operate normally during the holiday period.

For emergency medical treatment for local residents, the public health center emergency room will operate 24 hours, and designated on-duty medical institutions and holiday pharmacies will minimize medical inconveniences.

Information on hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies providing emergency treatment during the holiday period can be obtained in detail from the Imsil-gun Public Health Center.

Additionally, price stabilization will be promoted through focused management of 16 major holiday items, and to revitalize the sluggish local economy, a 10% discount sale of the local currency, Imsil Sarang Gift Certificates, will be conducted. Events such as traditional market shopping with local companies and organizations will also be held to expand local consumption for the holiday season.

The county plans to support local farms facing difficulties in securing sales channels by promoting direct transactions and non-face-to-face online sales events and promotional activities for agricultural specialty products.

For low-income households, various support policies including living expenses and goods support, as well as sharing holiday food, will be implemented so that all residents can have a warm and abundant Chuseok holiday.

County Governor Shim Min said, “We will make every effort to establish and operate an emergency response system so that all residents can have a warm and safe Chuseok holiday with less worry and more joy,” and added, “We ask everyone to observe quarantine rules to prevent the re-spread of COVID-19 during the Chuseok holiday by thinking of their neighbors.”
