Namwon City Tourism Association to Host 'Makgeolli Festival' on the 2nd of Next Month

This Makgeolli Festival coincides with the 59th Jeollabuk-do Provincial Sports Festival held in Namwon from the 2nd to the 4th of next month, and various side events that will attract tourists visiting Namwon have been prepared.

Fresh Namwon Makgeolli, highly rated by consumers nationwide, and side dishes will be served while high-quality cultural and artistic performances such as 'Jeollabuk-do Exciting Art Bus, Pansori Play Chunhyangjeon, and Pungmul Performance Group' will entertain the audience before the event starts.

During the event, Makgeolli-related events including the 'Instant Makgeolli Drinking Contest' will be held, and a promotional hall showcasing the excellence of Namwon Makgeolli along with various flea markets will attract tourists visiting the Makgeolli Festival.

On the 3rd of next month, from 7:30 PM, the 'Chunhyanggol Open Concert for Namwon Citizens' Harmony' featuring popular singers such as Yuk Joong-wan Band, Hye Eun-i, Choi Seong-su, Cypher, and First Love will be held, expected to bring the excitement of the Makgeolli Festival to its peak.

Among the 13 Makgeolli companies in Namwon, 7 companies will participate in this festival, expected to showcase the unique taste of Namwon's Makgeolli different from other regions, and tourists visiting the event will have the opportunity to taste Makgeolli from these 7 companies for free.
