[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Paradise City announced on the 30th that it will hold the ‘Belgian Gourmet and Culture Festival,’ where visitors can experience the taste and culture of Belgium this upcoming fall.
From the 9th to the 30th of next month, Paradise City will offer a variety of programs ranging from Belgium’s representative gourmet menus to cultural talk shows and room packages.
On the first floor of the hotel, at ‘Garden by Laku,’ Belgian gourmet menus have been prepared. First, authentic Belgian waffle menus created using recipes by Yves Mattagne, a Michelin 2-star chef, will be featured. In particular, the head chef of the famous Belgian waffle brand ‘Gaufres & Waffles’ will be invited to make waffles on-site upon customer orders.
Belgian-style fries served with various sauces and imported beers from Belgium, known worldwide as a top beer-producing country, will also be sold. Especially, visitors can enjoy famous monastery beers such as ‘Tripel Heaven,’ ‘Homme Bier,’ and ‘Delirium Tremens’ all in one place. Every Friday and Saturday, as well as during the Chuseok holiday afternoons, a tasting event will be held where guests can lightly sample five types of representative Belgian beer samplers. Additionally, a ‘Smurf Zone’ decorated with Smurf merchandise and a photo zone will be operated.
Next, the Belgian cultural talk show ‘All About Belgium’ with Belgian broadcaster Julian will be held on the 10th of next month. Participants can join a lucky draw event awarding Paradise City Spa Cimer usage tickets, indoor theme park Wonderbox tickets, and comic books by Belgium’s representative author Philippe Geluck, as well as take commemorative photos with Julian.
The ‘Check-in to Belgium’ room package, which allows guests to experience Belgian gourmet menus, has also been launched. Available from the 9th to the 29th of next month, this package provides one of two representative Belgian waffle menus and one Belgian-style fries. It also includes benefits such as free admission to various facilities including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, Play Lab, Kids Zone, and Art Space exhibitions.
