Winners Including Park Eun-bin, (G)I-DLE, and Jeon Hyun-moo Attend Ceremony
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] The 49th Korea Broadcasting Awards ceremony will be held next month.
The Korea Broadcasting Association announced on the 30th that the 49th Korea Broadcasting Awards ceremony will be broadcast live on September 5th from 3 to 5 PM at the KBS TV Public Hall.
At this ceremony, awards will be presented for 1 Grand Prize, 26 Program Awards, 18 Individual Awards, and 1 Special Jury Award. Representatives of the Program Award winners, as well as individual award recipients such as Park Eun-bin (Best Actor Award - KBS 2TV drama "Yeonmo"), (G)I-DLE (Best Singer Award - MBC TV entertainment show "Show! Music Core"), and Jeon Hyun-moo (Best Entertainer Award - MBC TV entertainment show "Omniscient Interfering View") will attend.
The late Song Hae, who was unanimously selected by the jury for the Special Jury Award, will receive the award on his behalf by Shin Jae-dong, the band leader of KBS's "National Singing Contest." The Grand Prize will be announced on site.
In addition to the awardees, actors Kim So-hyun, Jang Do-yeon, Yang Se-hyung, and IVE's An Yu-jin are expected to attend as presenters. Various celebratory performances will also be held, including the opening by (G)I-DLE, as well as performances by MeloMance, Song So-hee, and NewJeans.
The Korea Broadcasting Awards, which began in 1973, are given annually to the best broadcasting programs and broadcasters in celebration of Broadcasting Day, marking its 49th edition this year.
