Jindo-gun Selects Outstanding Public Officials for Proactive Administration in the First Half of This Year

Team Leaders Kim Seong-min and Kim Seong-nam Selected... Exceptional Incentives Including Priority Points for Personnel Evaluations Granted

[Jindo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Jindo County, Jeollanam-do, has actively promoted work and selected two public officials who achieved tangible results for residents as excellent proactive public officials in the first half of 2022.

The county received over 10 excellent cases through department recommendations, practical reviews, and a review committee, and selected the winners through comprehensive evaluation of resident impact, importance and difficulty of work, creativity, and expertise via online evaluation and presentation reviews.

The excellent proactive public officials selected were ▲Kim Seong-min (Medical Technology Grade 6) and ▲Kim Seong-nam (Administration Grade 6). The selected employees will receive rewards such as bonuses, leave, and preferential treatment in personnel evaluations.

Kim Seong-min, the top-rated officer (Health Center), was recognized for contributing to creating a happy Jindo County free from dementia worries by ▲being selected as a pilot institution for the Public Procurement Service’s innovative product virtual reality dementia care platform ▲and revitalizing senior rehabilitation projects.

Kim Seong-nam, the excellent-rated team leader (Gunnae-myeon), was highly evaluated for promoting the visiting administration program “A Walk Around the Neighborhood Together,” which involves visiting sites to listen to difficulties and actively resolving civil complaints, ▲practicing resident-centered visiting welfare services, and ▲discovering blind spots in public safety and traffic safety, thereby contributing to increased trust in overall administration.

A Jindo County administration official said, “Even amid the prolonged COVID-19 situation, proactive administration by public officials for the benefit of county residents is more important than ever,” adding, “We will continue to strive to establish a culture of proactive administration within the public sector and promote proactive administration that residents can feel and that improves their convenience.”
