This education invited Kim Hyang-sook, a specialist instructor in integrated violence prevention education from the Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education, to conduct a small-scale face-to-face session under the theme “Eradicating Gender-Based Violence through Enhanced Gender Sensitivity,” aiming to deepen the quality of the training.
The lecture delved into the causes of the four major types of violence and explored measures for their eradication. It covered common gender discrimination situations in daily life, digital sex crimes, and prevention of secondary damage that may occur within organizations, emphasizing the importance of the roles and responsibilities of senior public officials within the organization.
County Governor Oh Do-chang stated, “I hope that today’s education will improve proper gender sensitivity and contribute to creating a gender-equal organizational culture,” adding, “We will continue to consider practical equality from a gender-sensitive perspective and strive to create tangible changes to make the workplace healthy.”
Yeongyang-gun is making efforts to establish a safe workplace culture by preparing guidelines for preventing sexual harassment and sexual violence in the workplace and operating a dedicated counseling window to protect victims and prevent secondary damage.
