Sacheon Mayor Park Dongsik Concludes Extensive Communication Meetings with Civic Groups

73 Organizations Attend, 106 Proposals Made, Citizen-Centered Communication Efforts Ongoing

Mayor Park Dong-sik is holding a communication meeting with civic groups.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The communication meeting with civic groups, the first step to reinforce Mayor Park Dongsik of Sacheon-si, Gyeongnam’s commitment to ‘citizen happiness and communication administration,’ has successfully concluded after a 50-day journey.

This ‘communication meeting with civic groups’ was arranged to realize Mayor Park’s administrative philosophy, emphasized since his candidacy, of ‘breathing closest to the citizens.’

Mayor Park concluded the communication meetings with 73 civic groups with a meeting with the Forestry Successors Association Sacheon-si Council on the 18th. The first meeting was held on July 5 with the Volunteer Group Council.

Through these communication meetings, a total of 106 suggestions were collected, but most were related to group activities.

On the other hand, true to their nature as voluntary service groups, there were also broad suggestions for administrative development, such as measures to increase tourists and deregulation for attracting companies.

Mayor Park ordered that suggestions involving budgets be reviewed by the relevant departments and included in the 2023 budget, and that suggestions that can be addressed immediately be resolved promptly.

Mayor Park said, “Through this meeting, I realized how thirsty the group members have been for communication,” and added, “We will build a sincere communication network in the future to quench this thirst for communication.”
