Tourists Flock Year-Round to Gangwon-do East Coast... Spotlight on 'Inscape Yangyang by Parnas' Sale

The East Coast of Gangwon Province is emerging as a year-round resort destination, attracting tourists not only in summer but also in spring, autumn, and winter. Especially, moving away from the past when tourists flocked only during the summer peak season, there is now a high demand for tourism products that can accommodate visitors regardless of the season.

According to the Gangwon Province East Sea Headquarters, as of the 7th, 4,937,624 people visited the six coastal cities and counties (Gangneung, Donghae, Sokcho, Samcheok, Goseong, Yangyang) along the East Coast this summer, showing a 27.7% increase compared to the same period last year (3,866,202 people).

The influx of tourists to the East Coast of Gangwon Province is interpreted as a result of the lifting of COVID-19 social distancing measures and the removal of the outdoor mask mandate, leading vacationers to escape the heat and flock to the East Coast from late July to early August, the summer holiday period.

In particular, due to the difficulty of overseas travel caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact of 'vacation+inflation' (vacation inflation), where airfare, accommodation, and dining costs have risen, tourists are flocking to the nearby East Coast instead of Jeju Island. According to the travel industry, this summer, hotel accommodation fees in Jeju have increased by more than 40% compared to before the COVID-19 outbreak in 2019, highlighting the significant impact of 'vacation inflation.'

The changed vacation atmosphere after COVID-19 is also creating new trends. Rather than visiting the East Coast only in summer, the proportion of tourists visiting regardless of the season?spring, autumn, or winter?is increasing in the 'New Normal' era, avoiding peak seasons.

Tourists visiting for marine sports such as surfing and yachting, as well as those enjoying work and leisure simultaneously through workation, 'living for a week,' or 'living for a month,' are also on the rise.

The reopening of international flights at Yangyang International Airport is also expected to have an impact. Yangyang International Airport, the only airport in the East Coast area of Gangwon Province, has resumed international flights to the Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam, and others, in addition to domestic flights, anticipating an influx of foreign tourists year-round.

As the East Coast of Gangwon Province gains attention as a four-season tourist destination, interest is growing in 'Inscape Yangyang by Parnas,' located in Yangyang, the center of East Coast tourism.

Inscape Yangyang by Parnas, located in Ganghyeon-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon Province, consists of 393 residential lodging units ranging from 37 to 151 square meters, spanning from 7 basement floors to 39 above-ground floors.

Inscape Yangyang by Parnas is known as a 'view hotspot' because it allows guests to fully enjoy the scenery of the East Sea and also the mountain view of Seoraksan, Korea's most famous mountain.

Standing at 174.6 meters, Inscape Yangyang by Parnas boasts the tallest height in Gangwon Province. Especially, the rooftop lounge on the top floor offers panoramic ocean and mountain views. Various amenities, including an infinity pool, are also planned.

Located right in front of Naksan Beach, it is convenient to go to the beach and enjoy swimming. It serves as a tourism hub on the East Coast, offering marine sports such as surfing and yachting at Naksan Beach, Gisa-mun, Hajodae, and Jukdo, as well as hiking and trekking spots like Seorak Daecheongbong, Odaesan, Naksansa Temple, and Osaek Mineral Spring.

It also has the advantage of easy access from Seoul. Using the Seoul-Yangyang Expressway, it takes about 90 minutes from Seoul and the metropolitan area, making it highly accessible. From Yangyang, tourists can conveniently travel to major East Coast destinations such as Sokcho, Goseong, and Gangneung via the Donghae Expressway, making it a key tourism base on the East Coast of Gangwon Province.

Additionally, with the planned opening of the East-West High-Speed Railway connecting Seoul, Chuncheon, and Sokcho, and the Donghae Northern Line connecting Gangneung, Yangyang, Sokcho, and Jejin in 2027, access to Yangyang is expected to become even more convenient.
