Establishment of TF Team to Leap as Seoul Central City & Organizational Restructuring Planned through Second Half Organizational Diagnosis & Key Projects Including Cheongnyangni Area Complex Development, Regional Specialized Business Promotion, and Youth Future City Creation Using IT Technology
Dongdaemun-gu Mayor Lee Pil-hyung is presenting the appointment certificate to Kim Jung-won, who was appointed as the head of the Future Happiness Policy Promotion TF team, on the morning of the 25th.
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Ilhyung Lee) took its first step toward becoming the central city of Seoul by establishing the ‘Future Happiness Policy Promotion TF’ on the 26th.
The ‘Future Happiness Policy Promotion TF’ under the Planning and Budget Division was established to promote key projects of the 8th local government term, including regional development centered around the Cheongnyangni area, fostering regional specialized industries, and creating a youth future city utilizing IT technology infrastructure, which are core pledges of Dongdaemun-gu Mayor Ilhyung Lee.
The TF consists of five members, composed of general administration, civil engineering, and architecture staff to secure expertise and facilitate interdepartmental collaboration. Kim Jungwon, a senior administrative officer, serves as the team leader and plans to swiftly advance the major projects of the 8th local government term with the staff, overseeing overall progress including interdepartmental cooperation and coordination.
Through this, the pledge of the mayor to develop the Cheongnyangni Station area into a transportation, commercial, and business hub and to foster regional specialized industries such as bio, sewing, and used car industries is expected to be promoted with momentum, showcasing a new Dongdaemun-gu.
Additionally, the district plans to implement an organizational restructuring in the second half of the year through its own organizational diagnosis to respond to rapidly changing social environments and realize a leading future city vision.
Mayor Ilhyung Lee of Dongdaemun-gu stated, “We will enhance work efficiency through organizational diagnosis and administrative reform and create a well-performing Dongdaemun-gu with communication and a transparent system,” adding, “Along with the establishment of the TF, we will strive to present a new Dongdaemun-gu where residents’ lives become happier, using the organizational restructuring scheduled for the second half of the year as a stepping stone.”
