[Wando=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Shin Woo-cheol, the mayor of Wando County, held a communication meeting with the ‘Innovation Junior Board’ at the Marine Climate Healing Center in Sinji-myeon on the 22nd.
The ‘Innovation Junior Board’ is composed of the MZ generation to improve organizational culture and innovate county administration. It is a meeting body established to lay the foundation for county development through the participation of young employees and horizontal communication.
About 20 members of the Innovation Junior Board and Mayor Shin Woo-cheol participated in the meeting, where they presented the results of the group autonomous business trip conducted in June and shared benchmarking cases.
The autonomous business trip of the Innovation Junior Board was promoted to experience excellent policies implemented in other local governments and to provide creative administrative services.
The themes of the autonomous business trip were divided into three areas: county policies, regional development, and organizational communication.
Major benchmarking cases presented included ‘Creating a Public Service Life Casebook,’ ‘Operating an In-house University,’ ‘Forming and Operating a Task Force for Organizational Culture Improvement,’ ‘Revitalizing Marine Tourism,’ ‘Policies and Culture Development for Companion Animals,’ ‘Operating Reverse Mentoring,’ ‘Operating an Anonymous In-house Bulletin Board,’ and ‘Operating a Job Series Learning Club.’ The related departments will review whether to implement these benchmarking cases and plan to reflect them in county policies.
Mayor Shin Woo-cheol of Wando County said, “To create meaningful changes in our organization and society, communication, empathy, and innovation are necessary. We will create an organizational culture that can respond in step with the times and strengthen communication with the MZ generation to build a pleasant and vibrant work environment.”
Meanwhile, after the meeting, members of the Innovation Junior Board carried out a plogging exercise?picking up trash while walking or jogging?to maintain the clean and safe Myeongsasimni Beach.
