It was reported that the bottle contained an alcohol-based cleaning detergent instead of water.

According to the Gijang Police Station in Busan on the 23rd, on the 15th, a female employee in her 40s at a resort in Gijang-gun mistakenly provided a disinfectant for cleaning as bottled water to a guest's room.

Among the guests, a woman in her 50s, Ms. A, felt nausea and dizziness immediately after drinking it and spat it out right away, then was promptly taken to the hospital. Ms. A was discharged after receiving emergency treatment and stomach lavage.

The Gijang Police Station's criminal team collected the bottled water and is currently requesting a composition analysis from the National Forensic Service.

They are also investigating the resort officials and the related company of the resort on charges of professional negligence causing injury.
