A Total of 48 Single Men and Women Participated, Resulting in 12 Couples Matched
On the 20th, Gumi City held the 2nd Heart-Throbbing~ing event of the unmarried men and women couple matching project at Hotel Geumosan.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Gumi City, Gyeongbuk Province, held the second unmarried men and women couple matching event of the year, "Dugeun Dugeun~ing," on the 20th at Hotel Geumosan, organized by the One More Child Movement Federation Gumi Branch. Out of 48 participants, 12 couples were successfully matched, achieving excellent results.
"Dugeun Dugeun~ing" means "the heartbeat sound that awakens the sleeping love cells of young men and women to feel each other's hearts." The event first started in 2016 and has gained increasing enthusiasm each year.
From July 4 to August 5, applications were accepted for unmarried men and women aged 26 to 39 who reside or work in Gumi. A total of 274 people applied, setting a record high.
Applicants come from various fields, including 64 employees from large companies such as Samsung and LG, 75 from public institutions, 92 from small and medium enterprises, and 43 from self-employed and other sectors. As awareness and satisfaction have increased, participation has grown.
The 24 unmarried men and women couples who attended the event spent time building intimacy and getting to know each other through self-introductions, ice-breaking activities, round talks, and a dinner party. Finally, 12 couples were matched through a matching sheet expressing mutual interest.
One participant said, "It is not easy to have personal meetings due to busy work life, but I hope to form a good relationship through this opportunity," expressing confident aspirations.
Mayor Jangho Kim said, "Building a harmonious family based on love and trust is a great happiness in life. I hope 'Dugeun Dugeun~ing' will be an opportunity for young men and women to have healthy meetings and form positive values about marriage and childbirth."
So far, Gumi City has held a total of nine events, with 250 couples participating, 98 couples matched, and 13 couples married. Many couples continue to have beautiful relationships, showing good results.
Going forward, Gumi plans to develop various programs and take the lead in creating a healthy marriage culture and happy families, continuing to be a representative festival for young men and women to meet.
