‘2022 Hanbok Design Project Contest’ Grand Prize Winning Work

[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] Korea's only Hanbok fair, '2022 Hanbok Store,' will be held from the 25th to the 28th at COEX D2 Hall.

Co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Craft & Design Foundation, this year's fair features 74 companies offering a variety of experiential events. Visitors can make and try on Hanbok themselves, and purchase items at discounts of up to 80%. Award-winning works from the '2022 Hanbok Design Project Contest,' Hanbok school uniforms, Hanbok workwear, and traditional Hanbok materials will also be on display.

A special exhibition themed 'A Blue Story Soaked in the Breeze' will be held. Under the direction of artistic director Seo Younghee, Hanbok reinterpreted with indigo fabric representing the East Sea, which Lady Suro crossed in the Silla-era 'Hyangga' poem, will be showcased.

On the 25th, promotional ambassador and singer Song Ga-in will visit the site to introduce about 20 Hanbok accessories she personally made. On the 26th, online sales will be conducted twice via 'Naver Shopping Live' at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Visitors wearing Hanbok or who have pre-registered can enter the 'Hanbok Store' free of charge. Pre-registration is open until the 28th on the Hanbok Store website.
