English Premier League club Chelsea announced on the 21st (Korean time) through the club's official website, "We have identified the fan who made a racially discriminatory gesture in the stands during last week's match against Tottenham," and "The season ticket holder will be banned indefinitely from entering the stadium."
The fan made a gesture of pulling the eyes sideways toward Son Heung-min, who was moving to take a corner kick during the match between Chelsea and Tottenham held at Stamford Bridge in London, UK, on the 15th.
Earlier, Chelsea stated, "We abhor all forms of discrimination," and "An investigation is currently underway, and strong measures will be taken once the individual is identified."
