Prosecutors Raid Presidential Archives in 'Wolseong Nuclear Plant Early Shutdown' Complaint

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] On the 19th, the prosecution is conducting a search and seizure at the Presidential Archives in Sejong City regarding the decision to prematurely shut down the Wolseong Nuclear Power Plant.

The Criminal Division 4 of the Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office stated that investigators were sent to the Presidential Archives in Sejong City on that day to carry out the search and seizure.

Earlier, civic groups opposing nuclear phase-out filed complaints last December against 15 then-Blue House officials, requesting an investigation into possible illegal acts related to the closure decision. Subsequently, in March, another civic group submitted a complaint requesting an investigation into former President Moon Jae-in's alleged abuse of power.
