KT-pyo Content 'Woo Young-woo'... Final Episode Viewership Up 18 Times


[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' ended with its highest-ever rating of 17.53%, an 18-fold increase compared to the first episode.


KT announced on the 19th that ENA channel's 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' concluded with its 16th episode on the 18th.


'Woo Young-woo,' which has received immense love from viewers, ranked first in both ratings and popularity, sparking what is being called the 'Woo Young-woo Syndrome.'


First aired on June 29 through ENA channel, 'Woo Young-woo' started with a 0.95% rating for the first episode (Nielsen Korea, nationwide paid households) and recorded its highest rating of 17.53% in the final episode, maintaining the top spot among Wednesday-Thursday dramas until the end. This represents an approximately 18-fold increase compared to the first episode's rating. The highest minute-by-minute rating also reached 21.86%, the highest figure recorded.


'Woo Young-woo' not only set a new all-time high rating for ENA but also earned the title of 'No.1 Wednesday-Thursday Channel' until the last episode.


Beyond quantitative achievements, the qualitative ripple effects brought by 'Woo Young-woo' are expected to be even greater, raising possibilities and expectations for KT's content business.


Additionally, 'Woo Young-woo' is praised for addressing various social issues and spreading positive influence in society. KT expressed hope that 'Woo Young-woo,' which delivered a powerful impact through popular yet differentiated storytelling, will be remembered by many viewers as a warm and benevolent drama for a long time.


Meanwhile, the new ENA Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Good Job,' which follows 'Woo Young-woo,' will premiere at 9 PM on the 24th. 'Good Job' is a hero-romantic investigation drama featuring the ultra-wealthy detective Eun Sun-woo (played by Jung Il-woo) and the ultra-sharp-sighted Don Se-ra (played by Kwon Yu-ri), two men and women with special abilities.
