[Asia Economy Reporter Junyi Park] The Air Force has accepted the recommendation of the National Human Rights Commission to prevent secondary damage to the victim of sexual harassment in the 15th Special Mission Wing and has temporarily suspended the decision on whether to prosecute the victim.
According to the Air Force on the 18th, the Air Force Prosecutor's Office temporarily suspended additional investigation and the decision on whether to prosecute the case in which Sergeant A, the victim of sexual harassment in the 15th Special Mission Wing, was accused.
Earlier that day, the Human Rights Commission recommended the head of the Air Force Prosecutor's Office to temporarily suspend additional investigation and the decision on whether to prosecute the case of trespassing and injury for the purpose of avoiding work against the victim until the complaint filed by Sergeant A's side is resolved.
This recommendation by the Human Rights Commission came after the Military Human Rights Center's affiliated Military Sexual Violence Counseling Office (hereinafter referred to as the Counseling Office) filed a complaint with the Military Human Rights Protection Officer of the Human Rights Commission on the 10th of this month, requesting urgent relief to prevent secondary damage related to this sexual harassment case.
