[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] SPC Group announced on the 18th that it has provided emergency relief supplies to search sites for missing persons across the country due to recent heavy rains.
The SPC Happy Foundation delivered a total of 7,000 items, consisting of 3,500 SPC Samlip breads and 3,500 bottles of water each, to areas where search operations for missing persons are underway, including ▲Gyeonggi Province (Gwangju, Namyangju) ▲Wonju, Gangwon Province ▲Buyeo, Chungnam Province, through the Korean Red Cross. The relief supplies will be used to support approximately 1,000 search personnel deployed at the sites, including firefighting authorities.
An SPC Group official said, “We delivered relief supplies to help the firefighting personnel who are tirelessly conducting search operations day and night to find the missing persons, even if only a little. We will continue to provide support until the flood recovery is complete.”
Meanwhile, since the 9th, SPC Group has delivered over 10,000 SPC Samlip breads and more than 13,000 bottles of water as relief supplies for flood victims and rescue personnel in the affected areas. SPC Group employees have also engaged in various flood recovery support activities, such as volunteering to make sandbags to prevent river flooding at Banpo Sports Complex in Seocho-gu, Seoul, on the 12th.
