[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Hyun-ji] On the 18th, Ahn Cheol-soo, a member of the People Power Party, explained regarding his call for the disbandment of the party's Innovation Committee, saying, "(If) different voices come out from the Emergency Response Committee and the Innovation Committee, it will cause more confusion within the party, so the meaning is to unify them into one."

Meeting with reporters at the National Assembly on the same day, Ahn said, "Has there ever been an Innovation Committee under the Emergency Response Committee until now?" Regarding Innovation Committee Chairman Choi Jae-hyung's statement asking not to shake the Innovation Committee, he responded, "It is not about shaking it. The Emergency Response Committee and the Innovation Committee actually share the same purpose."

Regarding Joo Ho-young, the head of the Emergency Response Committee, expressing his intention to maintain the Innovation Committee by saying "the Emergency Response Committee and the Innovation Committee each have their own roles" on the same day, Ahn emphasized, "It is at the level of mutual compliments, and since I have worked in the National Assembly for a long time, it means clarifying each other's authority, responsibility, and domain."
