According to Seoul City and other local governments, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases from 12 AM to 9 PM on this day was counted at 170,070. This is 5,695 fewer than the same time the previous day (175,765).
The number of confirmed cases as of 9 PM on this day is 1.29 times higher than on the 10th (131,518) and 1.63 times higher than on the 3rd (104,490). It is expected to reach the early 170,000 range by midnight.
From the 11th for one week, the daily new confirmed cases as of 12 AM were 137,193 → 128,679 → 124,569 → 119,580 → 62,077 → 84,128 → 180,803. The average daily number of confirmed cases over the week is 119,576.
New confirmed cases occurred with 79,901 (47%) in the metropolitan area and 90,169 (53%) in non-metropolitan areas. By region, Gyeonggi had 42,366 cases, Seoul 28,375, Gyeongnam 11,631, Gyeongbuk 10,082, Daegu 9,613, Incheon 9,160, Chungnam 8,111, Jeonbuk 6,987, Gwangju 6,680, Chungbuk 6,304, Daejeon 6,070, Busan 5,714, Gangwon 5,642, Jeonnam 5,359, Ulsan 4,212, Jeju 2,348, and Sejong 1,416 cases.
