Gyeongnam Jeongbo University Partners with Korea Nano Meister High School for Linked Education... 'Future Promising Sector High School Graduate Workforce Development Project' Students from Korea Nano Meister High School participating in the linked education project with Gyeongnam Information College are posing during an on-site field trip.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Dae-sik) conducted a linked education program for 20 first-year students of Miryang Hanguk Nano Meister High School from July 18 to August 12, spanning three weeks, as part of the 'Future Promising Field High School Graduate Workforce Training Project.'


The education was conducted in three sessions, each lasting one week, with the following themes: ▲1st session, Understanding Simulation for Production Process Optimization - Basic CAD Course ▲2nd session, PLC Training Course for Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance ▲3rd session, Understanding Semiconductor Unit Process Technology.


During the education period, field trips were also conducted. Students visited various institutions including Yeungnam University Central Equipment Center, Busan Technopark Power Semiconductor Commercialization Center, Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology Next-Generation Semiconductor Convergence Research Institute, Kyungpook National University Semiconductor Convergence Technology Research Institute, and Ultech Co., Ltd., allowing them to gain on-site experience.


Im Jun-woo, head of the project team at Gyeongnam Information University, said, “We hope that the high school students participating in the linked education will gain a better understanding of semiconductor jobs,” and added, “We will put more effort into linked education for high school students by utilizing Gyeongnam Information University's state-of-the-art equipment and excellent faculty.”


The Future Promising Field High School Graduate Workforce Training Project, jointly participated by Gyeongnam Information University and Hanguk Nano Meister High School, is a project aimed at training specialized technicians in the operation of manufacturing equipment and production element technologies related to the next-generation semiconductor field.
