[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is conducting the "2022 National Safety Inspection for the Transition to a Safe Korea" from the 17th to October 14th, with the participation of public officials and private experts to inspect the overall safety management status of society and identify and improve risk factors.

The county selected 81 locations, including small-scale public facilities, areas vulnerable to landslides, natural disaster-prone facilities, and multi-use facilities with many visitors, and will conduct joint inspections involving private experts.

During the joint inspections, advanced equipment such as drones will be utilized, and inspection guides by sector will be produced and distributed to ensure thorough inspections.

In addition, along with the promotion of the National Safety Inspection, efforts will be focused on spreading a voluntary safety inspection practice movement among all citizens by promoting reporting methods using the "Safety Report App" through campaigns and various other means to expand a safety culture involving residents.

For facilities requiring improvements based on inspection results, prompt repairs and reinforcements will be carried out, and continuous management will be ensured through periodic checks. Furthermore, follow-up measures and inspection results of the National Safety Inspection will be disclosed to residents through the "Integrated Safety Information Disclosure System" to enhance accessibility and convenience of safety information.

County Governor Goo In-mo said, "I hope that residents actively participate in the National Safety Inspection so that it can be carried out more effectively," and added, "I urge residents to actively report any safety hazards in their daily lives through the Safety Report App."
