[Asia Economy Reporter Baek Kyunghwan] President Yoon Suk-yeol said on the 17th, marking his 100th day in office, "There have been both support and sharp criticism from the people. I will always do my best to carefully consider the will of the people so that they do not have to worry."

At his first press conference held in the briefing room of the Yongsan Presidential Office on the same day, President Yoon said, "During the recent vacation, I reflected on the year since I started in politics, and even now, on the 100th day of my inauguration, I engrave in my heart that the people are the beginning, the direction, and the goal."

In particular, President Yoon emphasized, "I will work even harder with utmost dedication." He also revealed plans to "devote all my energy to prioritizing the immediate livelihood issues while securing growth engines for our economy and future food sources." He added, "The most important thing in running the state affairs is, first and foremost, the will of the people, and secondly, the will of the people," emphasizing, "I will carefully heed every breath of the people and ensure that I do not deviate from their will even by an inch."

On this day, President Yoon focused on the achievements of the new government’s policies over the past 100 days. He highlighted differentiated policies from the previous administration, including ▲opening the Blue House and relocating the Presidential Office to Yongsan ▲restructuring the Presidential Office ▲solidifying international alliances such as the Korea-US alliance ▲private-led economic policies ▲management of the low-income economy ▲stabilization of housing and rent prices ▲nuclear phase-out ▲advanced science and technology ▲defense industry exports ▲and reestablishing labor-management culture.
