[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City will conduct a 'Chuseok Peak Season Livestock Products Joint Hygiene Inspection' targeting livestock product manufacturing and sales companies from the 17th to the 26th ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
Ulsan City has organized 8 personnel, including public officials and honorary livestock product hygiene inspectors, into 3 inspection teams to focus inspections on large supermarkets and traditional markets where demand surges during the holiday peak season.
The main inspection items include ▲ manufacturing and sales without notification ▲ manufacturing and sales of products past their expiration date ▲ cleanliness and compliance with hygiene management standards of business premises ▲ hygienic handling of livestock products ▲ health checkups and hygiene education for business operators and employees.
In addition, on-site guidance and crackdowns will be conducted on edible egg collection and sales businesses handling eggs.
An official from Ulsan City stated, “We will do our best to prevent food safety accidents through hygiene inspections of livestock product workplaces so that citizens can purchase with confidence during the period of increased livestock product consumption.”
