Practice Intensifies Starting One Hour Before the Competition Begins
Players participating in the 8th Asia Economy Honam Cup Junior Golf Championship are practicing putting before the tournament begins.
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The 8th Asia Economy Honam Junior Golf Championship opened on the 17th at Haenam Sollasido Country Club.
At 5:30 a.m., one hour before the start of the competition, players participating in this tournament were diligently practicing putting on the practice green.
They focused their minds and concentrated on the ball as if not to lose their touch until the very end.
They were 4th to 5th graders in elementary school. Although their faces were still youthful, their expressions and atmosphere were comparable to professional golfers. One player kept trying different postures than usual.
The accompanying parents also held their breath nervously, watching their children's putting and posture.
One player's parent said, "My child seems nervous, but if they just do as usual, they can achieve good results," adding, "Regardless of the results, it will be a valuable experience."
Meanwhile, the 8th Asia Economy Honam Junior Golf Championship for nurturing junior golf players is being held from the 17th to 18th at Sollasido Country Club in Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do.
