Changwon Special City "Positive Signal for Changwon's Industrial and Economic Vitality"
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam signed investment agreements with six youth companies scheduled to move into the Dongjeon General Industrial Complex.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced on the 16th at 4 p.m. in the reception room that it signed an investment agreement with six youth companies scheduled to move into Dongjeon General Industrial Complex, with a total investment amount of 38.9 billion KRW and new employment of 136 people.
About 10 officials attended the agreement ceremony, including Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City; Park Geun-su, Director of Donggyeong Platec; Kim Yeon-gyu, CEO of Dongseo Gijeon; Park Jeong-myeong, CEO of Gukseong; Kim Ki-hyun, CEO of Anguk; Park Ji-young, CEO of The One With Tech; and Lee Jeong-seok, CEO of Geumyoung Steel.
Through this agreement, the investing companies promised active investment implementation and job creation, while the city pledged various administrative and financial support necessary for realizing corporate investment.
Among the contracted companies, Donggyeong Platec decided to expand and relocate from Haman to Dongjeon Industrial Complex, Gukseong and Geumyoung Steel decided to relocate from Gimhae to Dongjeon Industrial Complex, and three local companies?Dongseo Gijeon, Anguk, and The One With Tech?will expand and relocate their business sites.
Regarding investment details by company, Donggyeong Platec, which produces automobile parts, will expand and relocate its business site from Haman to Dongjeon Industrial Complex to respond to customer order volumes, investing 10.6 billion KRW and hiring 57 new employees.
Dongseo Gijeon decided to invest 9.7 billion KRW to expand its manufacturing facilities for automated machine parts in preparation for increased production lines and volume of partner companies, planning to hire 45 people. Gukseong, an industrial robot manufacturer, will relocate its business site from Gimhae to Dongjeon Industrial Complex and establish a new industrial robot production plant, deciding on an investment of 5.1 billion KRW and hiring 20 new employees.
Anguk, a manufacturer of dedicated parts for construction machinery, decided to expand its production facilities, confirming an investment of 5 billion KRW and hiring 5 new employees. The One With Tech, a manufacturer of parts for industrial and home appliances, plans to invest 5.1 billion KRW and hire 5 new employees to expand air conditioner front panel manufacturing facilities and respond to increased order volumes from clients. Geumyoung Steel confirmed relocation of its Gimhae business site to secure logistics convenience and expand metal cutting facilities, investing 3.4 billion KRW and hiring 4 new employees.
Notably, all six company representatives who decided on this investment are in their 30s to 40s, choosing to expand investment in Changwon, which has excellent human resources and industrial infrastructure, with a long-term perspective and passion. This investment is expected to not only re-highlight Changwon's investment environment but also contribute to increased economic vitality.
