Changwon Special City to Implement Traffic Control at 2nd Anmin Tunnel on the 18th

Seongju Overpass Fully Closed in Both Directions at Cheonseon-dong Due to Bridge Installation

Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, will fully block and partially control the road in front of Sinwol Vehicle Inspection Station on National Road No. 25 on the 18th.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam will fully close and partially control the road in front of Sinwol Vehicle Inspection Station on National Road No. 25 on the 18th to install the deck of Seongju Overpass for entering the 2nd Anmin Tunnel (towards Jinhae-gu) in Seongsan-gu.

The full road closure will be conducted for 10 minutes during lunchtime when traffic volume is low to avoid traffic congestion in the urban area, and partial control will be enforced on the day from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, restricting one lane in both directions.

The "Construction Project of National Road Alternative Bypass (2nd Anmin Tunnel) within Changwon City" is being implemented by the Busan Regional Land Management Office, with Changwon City handling compensation work. The project aims to alleviate habitual traffic congestion during commuting hours in the existing Anmin Tunnel and to facilitate smooth transportation of industrial cargo between the National Industrial Complex and Busan New Port.

Lee Sang-in, Director of the Construction Road Division, stated, "Vehicle control is unavoidable for the assembly and installation of the girder for entering the 2nd Anmin Tunnel. We ask for the understanding and cooperation of citizens using the road, and we will do our best to minimize inconvenience and prevent safety accidents."
