The 8th Asia Economy Honam Cup Junior Golf Championship Held

On the 17th-18th at Haenam Sollasido Country Club

Scholarships and trophies awarded to top 1-5 in men’s and women’s elementary divisions

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The 8th Asia Economy Honam Cup Junior Golf Championship for nurturing junior golf players will be held on the 17th and 18th at the Solarsido Country Club in Haenam-gun, Jeonnam.

Hosted by the Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters and organized by the Gwangju Metropolitan City Golf Association, this tournament is held annually to support the dreams and hopes of junior golfers.

As of 2022, only male and female players under 13 years old / 5th to 6th graders who have registered as players according to the Korea Golf Association's player registration regulations and have scored within 95 strokes in tournaments hosted by each city/provincial association or recommended by the tournament organizing committee can participate.

The competition is divided into boys under 13 and girls under 13 categories, and rankings are determined based on a 36-hole maximum score stroke play, playing 18 holes per day.

However, if part of the schedule is interrupted due to natural disasters or bad weather, the tournament will be considered valid once all participating players have completely finished at least 18 holes.

Trophies and scholarships will be awarded to the 1st to 5th place winners in both the boys under 13 and girls under 13 categories.
