CJ ENM Launches Dedicated K-Content Section on Global OTT Platform 'Peacock' Brand Hall 'CJ ENM Picks' Logo

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] CJ ENM announced on the 16th that it has launched a brand zone on the North American major OTT platform ‘Peacock.’ Through the brand zone ‘CJ ENM Picks’ on Peacock, CJ ENM supplies premium content such as dramas, movies, and K-pop music broadcasts.


Peacock is an OTT platform of the global media and entertainment company ‘NBCUniversal.’ It is serviced mainly in North America and parts of Europe, and as of the first quarter of this year, it has about 28 million MAU (monthly active users). Through this partnership, CJ ENM will be able to increase its touchpoints with North American audiences.


CJ ENM stated that it signed this partnership targeting North American audiences in line with the growing global demand for K-content. CJ ENM continues to pursue partnerships aiming to expand distribution channels for its content worldwide, including North America, the center of the content industry, and to solidify the CJ ENM brand image.


In December last year, CJ ENM launched the brand zone ‘K-Content by CJ ENM’ on Paramount Global’s OTT platform ‘Pluto TV.’ Since then, it has been programming an average of 6 to 8 new titles every month, including dramas, movies, and K-pop music broadcasts.


Seo Jang-ho, Executive Director of CJ ENM’s Content Business Division, said, "We are now able to showcase CJ ENM’s content through major North American platforms such as Pluto TV and Peacock," adding, "CJ ENM will continue to focus on producing global-oriented content as well as pioneering various global distribution channels."
